MORGAN SWEATER KIT

This listing is for the Morgan Sweater Kit consisting of YIN YANG worsted weight yarn.  Select your size from the size chart and the color combination you prefer from the swatches (MC is main color and CC is contrast color).  

Your kit will contain the correct number of skeins for your size in the colors corresponding to the swatch you select.  Note that the pattern is not included.  See the Where to Get the Pattern tab for the pattern link.

Why We Chose this Pattern:

The Morgan Sweater was designed by Elizabeth Smith.  Our sample is knit in YIN YANG worsted weight using colorways Six of One (MC) and Half Dozen of the Other (CC).

These two colorways are the latest addition to the YIN YANG collection of inverted pairs.  “Six of One” is primarily a dark wine color with just one ply of a leafy green.  “Half Dozen of the Other" is primarily a leafy green with just one ply of wine. 

The Morgan Sweater is just perfect for YIN YANG yarn. It would look great in any of our inverted pairings. Be sure to check out all of the Morgan Sweater colorway options we’ve drummed up for you.

PATTERN SIZING NOTE:

Find your size using the "Size Guide" above (located directly under the swatches).

PATTERN DETAILS:

Morgan is an open-style, drop-shoulder cardigan featuring a hi/lo split hem, textured slip stitch pattern, and pops of contrasting color in the hem and sleeves.

Needles:

For body: US 9/5.5 mm 24”/60 cm and 32”/80 cm circ, or size needed to obtain body gauge (Note: a 40”/100 cm circ length instead of 32”/80 cm would also work and may be preferred for sizes 6+).

Spare 32”/80 cm circ (used just to hold sts), in any size between US 7-9 - referred to as “spare” needle in patt.

For sleeves/trim: US 8/5 mm DPNS (or 32”/80 cm circ if using magic loop method), or size needed to obtain sleeve gauge.

For sleeve cuffs: US 7/4.5 mm DPNS (or 32”/80 cm circ if using magic loop method), or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain sleeve gauge.

Gauge: 21 sts & 34 rows = 4”/10 cm in Cartridge Belt Rib st patt on larger needle, after blocking.
