WEEKENDER LIGHT SWEATER KIT

This listing is for the Weekender Light Sweater Kit consisting of YIN YANG fingering weight yarn.  Select your size from the size chart and the color combination you prefer from the swatches (MC is main color and CC is contrast color).

Your kit will contain the correct number of skeins for your size in the colors corresponding to the swatch you select.  Note that the pattern is not included.  See the Where to Get the Pattern tab for the pattern link.

Why We Chose this Pattern:

The Weekender Light was designed by Andrea Mowry. This pattern is the fingering weight version of her previous pattern, “The Weekender.”  We are so excited to offer the Weekender Light Sweater Kit with our YIN YANG Yarn.  

Our sample is knit in YIN YANG fingering weight using the following colorways:

MC: Everything In Its Place and CC: A Place for Everything.

This sample demonstrates how YIN YANG yarn can be used to feature design details in a sweater.  We knit the body of The Weekender Light in “Everything In Its Place” and highlighted the ribbing in the drop-shoulder neckline, and cuffs in “A Place for Everything.” The result is sophisticated and simply stunning.

PATTERN SIZING NOTE:

Find your size using the "Size Guide" above (located directly under the swatches).

PATTERN DETAILS:

This sweater is knit from the bottom up in the round until the yoke. The yoke is knit flat and then joined at the shoulders with a 3 needle bind off. Sleeves are picked up and knit down from the body for a completely seamless sweater.

Needles:

Main Fabric: US 4/3.5 mm - 32-40”/80-100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs)

Sleeve Fabric (Optional, if needed): US 5/3.75 mm - Preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs)

Ribbing: US 2/2.75 mm - 40”/100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for cuffs and collar.

Gauge:

24 sts & 38 rows = 4”/10 cm on largest needle.

Measured over stockinette stitch in the round using the Main Fabric needle, after blocking.
